IN THESE THREE CASES, EVEN BEFORE WE HAD COMPLETED OUR ALARM RED
CHECKLISTS HIGHER HEADQUARTERS DETERMINED THAT WHITE WAS AGAIN
APPROPRIATE.  FOR THE SCUD LAUNCHED 28 DEC, WE RECEIVED A MUCH MORE
MEASURED DIRECTIVE TO GO YELLOW.  LAUNCHED FROM THOSE COORDINATES,
THE SCUD COULD NOT HAVE REACHED US.  GOING FROM WHITE TO RED FOR 
FIVE TO TEN MINUTES AND THEN IMMEDIATELY BACK TO WHITE IS CONFUSING
AND ALMOST COUNTER TO THE DEFINITIONS OF THE VARIOUS CONDITIONS.  IF

AVIONICS COOL MONITOR, NSN 6685-01-178-7635 WITH BA STATUS FROM 
SEYMOUR-JOHNSON, FOUR PILOT VALVES NSN 2915-01-078-9119 WITH, AND
2915-01-065-3149  WITH BA STATUS FROM DHAHRAN, WHILE NSN 
2915-01-097-0518 HAS BA STATUS FROM TYNDALL, AND NSN 
2915-01-160-0968 WITH NO STATUS.  LAST FLY DATE WAS 8 DECEMBER
(3)  THE LACK OF TEWS INTERMEDIATE SUPPORT SYSTEM (TISS) CAPABILITY
IS STILL OUR NUMBER ONE SHORTFALL.  OUR MICAPS AND STATUS OF THE 
TISS IS COVERED IN PARAGRAPH 5E (7).  WE STILL FEEL THAT FORCE 
SHIPPING THE 30 SHIP SETS WOULD HAVE BEEN AN EASIER WAY TO
ACCOMPLISH THE CONVERSION TO P3I ALR-56C.  THERE NEEDS TO BE A
