Smoking and Unnecessary Noise Must Cease in the Dormitories

Please be considerate of your neighbors and keep your voices down when traversing in the hall ways of your
dorms.  As you know, people are working many different shifts and may be sleeping during hour time off.
Additionally, for all of our safety, please do not smoke in the dorm rooms.  Many people are smoking
despite the fact that the dorms are not equipped with fire alarms, smoke detectors, or adequate fire
extinguishers.  Therefore, smoking in the dorm presents a real threatening hazard to all personnel.
Please take into account the safety of others the next time you light up.

Supply Opens Base Service Store

The 33 TFW Supply has opened a Base Service Store stocked with office and cleaning supplies.  Each work
center will have access to these resourcess through their specified supply liaisons.  In addition, if the
Base Service Store does not have an item that you require, they will put the item on a list and order it
for you or purchaase it off base at a later date.  Base Service Store Hours are Monday - Friday (0730 -
1600).  Equipment Requests can be made Monday - Friday (0730 - 1600).  Benchstock Support  can be
requested Monday - Friday (0730 - 1600)

Desert Shield Patch Designed by EMS Technician

SSgt Baptiste, 33d /fabrication Branch, 33 EMS, used his artistic talents to design a special Operation Desert Shielf patch.  The patch resembles the insignia in the "NOMAD EAST" letterhead but with some basic
modifications and refinements.  Col Parsons invites fellow members of the 33 TFW (Forward) to submit
competing designs.

Military Pay Raise Headed For Presidential Approval

According to the Air Force News Service, 4.1 percent pay raise for military Education Ribbon that
was previously reserved for graduates of more senior NCO PME courses.  The change went into effect 1 October 90, and is retroactive to 1 April 84, when the NCO prep course was activated.  People who have since graduated from higher levels of NCO PME are entitled to an additional bronze Oak Leaf Cluster on the
Ribbon.  An Air Force-wide personnel data system change will automaticallly udate people's files early
next year.  More information is available from consolidated base personnel offices.

Disaster Preparedness Tips for Proper Use of Chem Gear   

Use M-8 paper and m-9 tape to detect liquid nerve and blister agents.  Place M-9 tape above the wrists,
upper arms, and ankles on the Ground Crew Ensemble.

Hot Food Available at Shelly's by the BAE Pool!

If you want a change of pace from the standaard vitals at the chow hall, stop by Shelly's at the BAE Pool.
Her hours are as follows:
Sat    - Tues 1145 - 1800
Wed - Thur 1145 - 2100
Special 3 course lunch is available every Friday and Shelly's rolls are available everynoon from
1430 till close.  However, orders must be called in by 1900 hours Thursday evening.  Although the BAE pool
area entering through the front entrance and avoiding the pool area.
