-POLISH MILITARY MEDICAL ASSISTANCE OFFER TO SAUDI ARABIA: The State
Department was asked by Joint Staff to provide assistance in facilitating the
government of Poland (GOP) offer to contribute a 300-bed field hospital and a
hospital ship. Joint Staff believes the 300-bed field hospital appears to be
the stronger component of the GOP offer in terms of cost and timeliness.
