                4. KG Fagonis received a phone call from BG Scholes  expressing BG Scholes
                concern that ARGENT is planning on occupying a camp in the Qatif area. Mobile
                Team III executed.the following steps to reconcile this problem;
                       A.:Het with Ltc Edwards and Ltc Horton (40th Sig bn Ccir and lith Sig Bde
                S3 respectively) atlpier IS at  the Dannas Port to discuss'security at the
                camp. The two Lte's had just returned from the camp after conducting a leaders
                reconnaissance. Security is a primary concern of theirs, they are aware of the
                large Shia population in the town of Qatif, and of the potential threat.

                       B. In short, the brigade's security plan consists of an adequate
                barricade plan, permanent fighting positions, contingency fighting positions,
                controlled access points, and roving patrols.

                       C. Met with Maj Clay, XVIII ABC Land Management, to attempt to clarify
                BG Scholes cryptic message. The information was not available. Met with Upt
                Walsh. XVIII ABC G5. to clarify XVIII ABC restrictions on Qatif. Th
                inform tion was not-av@ble.
                       D. Returned and briefed Ltc Trautner on the 11 Bdets security   plan.
                Also relayed the Information that there is no information concerning   any
                current terrorist activities or any increased threat. Maj Clay telephoned from
                XVIII ABC to inform HMS that BG Scholes call of that morning was simply a
                courtesy and had nothins:whatsoever to do with attempting to A ARCENT's
                occupation of theqatif camp.

                5. Cpt Henry attended a real estate meeting. This meeting was atteikded by the
                terrain nanigers from 593d, XVIII ABC, ARCENT SUPCON ASG as veil asNEAPO and
express his concern that neither be
                nor anyone knew where all the units where located or what units were situate&
                on which compounds.' He directed that a new, enlarged map be prepared by SUPCOM
                ASG and that the terrain managers take a census which will be used in
                conjunction with the nap to show where everyone in the SUPCOM and COSCOM are
                located. HN vacated the conference room prior to receiving a tasking.
