    3. Chemical Decontamination

         A.  It is the unit responsibility to decontaminate chemical casualties
             prior to transporting to a medical facility. Decontamination areas
             and personnel should be identified and procedures rehearsed to
             minimize time required to decontaminate patients prior to evacuation
             to a medical facility.

         B. Should a medical facility become contaminated, patients will be
             re-routed to another medical 4acility..


     4. Evacuation Policy.


         A.  The evacuation policy for non hostile periods will be 15 days.


         B.  During hostilities all casualties will be evacuated out of the
             theater ASAP. Medical facilities will be used to stabilize patients
             for evacuation. At C+120 Capprox) with the establishment of a mature
             theater, the evacuation policy will be seven days during wartime.


     5. Air/Ground Evacuation.



         A.' During a mass casualty situation short of war all evacuation assets
             will respond to the mass casualty area.

         B.  During war time operations six C6) Air Ambulances located at Dhahran
             airfield are designated in support of Corps rear area.

         C.  During war time all means available will be used to evacuate
             casualties.



     6. Medical Routing by Bass Cluster.


         A.  During peacetime operations it is recommended that the Base cluster
             commander route injuries requiring medical treatment to the following
             Medical facilities.
