            d.   BRIEFING TOPIC:   MG Rhame, CG, 11D, BG Carter, ADCIMI, 1ID
         LTC Builington, ACofS GB, and CSM Davenport visited the 24th ID@MI
         DMAIN at 041730C JAN 91.  MG Rhame had an office call with MG
         McCaffrey. MG Rhamo and his party were provided a lessons learned
         brief by the division's primary staff.   MG Rhame and his party
         departed the division area at 042100C JAN 91.

            a.   BRIEFING TOPIC:   B/24 SIG conducted a 18 mile cross desert
         mobility exercise. Results were positive.     Stuck vehicles were
         quickly evacuated using field expedient methods.    Additional
         recovery assests were not required.

             t.  The LRSD exercise concluded today.     Teams were extracted by
         ground assests and will close this evening.    Team AARs will be
         conducted 051100C JAN 91.



         2. MAJOR SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES SUMMARY


           a. TRAINING SUMMARY FOR 4 JAN 91:

                    lst BDE - 2-7 IN conducts platoon training on breaching
         operations, BGST company night movement, and platoon assault drill.
         3-7 IN prepares for movex and conducts Corps ASP guard.     4-6q AR
         conducts company and platoon STX.

                    2nd BDE - TF 3-15 conducts BFV night thermal tracking
         exercise.  TF 1-611 conducts maintenance and recovery operations.
         3-69 AR conducts MlAl calibration and boresighting.

                    197 BDE - 1-18 IN conducts sections evaluation, combat
         lifesaver training, land navigation, and preparation for TF Breach
         Demo. 2-18 IN conducts Desert Stakes competition. 2-69 AR
         continues movement to AA Columbus.

                    AVN SDE - HHC BDE conducts aircraft maintenance and
         flight operations. 1-24 AHB conducts AH-64 aerial gunnery. 3-24
ise to evaluate load plans.
                    DIVARTY - l-ql FA conducts emergency occupations.                     s
         3-41 FA conducts Battery ARTEPs - fire missions.     4-41 FA conducts
         M16A2 zero.

                     DISCOM - 24 FSB conducts NBC readiness exercise. 224
         FSB conducts drivers training tnight courser. 197 FSB conducts NBC
         readiness - operation of Decon Apparatus. ?24 MSB conducts combat
         first aid - treating an open chest wound.

                    2-4 CAV - C Trp conducts fire support training. D Trp
         conducts aircraft maintenance, MOPPEX, and 1007 aircraft run-up.
         A/13 FA and A/3 EN conducts base operations.
