           2.       MISSION. 1AD attacks in zone in an NBC environment to
           destroy enemy armored forces and secure Attack Position PYTHON. On
           order, be prepared to continue operations in an NBC environment to
           gain contact with and destroy the RGFC.

           3. (U) EXECUTION.


               A. (U) Concept of the Operation.

                   (1) (9) Commander's Intent. We will fight in the lowest
           prudent level of MOPP. Rapid warning, reporting, and active
           contamination avoidance are key. Hasty decontamination operations
           will be conducted using unit assets. The 69th Chemical Company will
           assist contaminated units by conducting deliberate decontamination
           operations as far forward as possible when unit organic decon assets
           are inadequate. Smoke operations will initially be conducted in
           support of lst BDE. NBC reconnaissance assets will recon movement
           routes to Attack Position PYTHON and conduct contamination avoidance
           operations throughout the division.

                   (2) (6) General. Prior to the initiation of NBC warfare,
           units will implement both active and passive contamination avoidance
           measures. Once NBC warfare begins, MSCs will continue contamination
           avoidance operations, report initial NBC attacks in sector over FM
           command nets, and control decontamination operations in sector.
           Subsequent MOPP level guidance will be issued by MSC commanders.

               B. (9) Phase I - III. Movement from FAA GARCIA to Attack
           Position PYTHON.


                   (1)        IAD continues to conduct active contamination
           avoidance and protection operations. Place emphasis on NBC reporting
ation operations as required.

                   (2)        69 Chemical Company.

                              (a)     Provide NBC reconnaissance, smoke and
           decontamination support to divisional units.

                              (b) ES) NBC Recon Platoon.


                              -Attached 1-1 CAV.
                              -Recon movement routes from FAA GARCIA to Attack
           Position PYTHON.
                              -Verify enemy first use of NBC weapons.
                              -Mark contaminated areas.
                              -Collect samples and hand off to proper channels
           for laboratory analysis.
                              - GS, 1AD on order in Attack Position PYTHON.
