         2  As directed by the Under Secretary of the Army, deployment plans do not include the
         replacement of all Contact Maintenance Vehicles, LIN T10131, on a one-lor-one basis,
         Plans are to fill new unit activations, fill existing units shortages, and replace only
         nonreparable Contact Maintenance Vehicles, in t@at order. New Conlact Maintenance
         Vehicles are anticipated to be deployed to the field commencing lst Qtr FY 91 .

         3. A request for waiver from total package fielding (TPF) was approved by HQ, AMC.
         Shop equipment has been fielded under basis of issue plan existing since the 1950s, and
         even though the LINs on NSNs are new, shops are considered to be a fielding continu-
         ation of the Contact-M.aintenance Shop Equipment..
