          PU 245025. READY 6 issued the FRAEO on the hood of the Bde S3's HUMMV using
          overlays just obtained from the Division's TAC by the BDE S-3. The Division's
          FRAGO ordered the RFCT to attack in zone to PL TANGERINE (running from PU
          7003M to PU 600700) destroying enemy in zone and on order continue the attack
          to OBJECTIVES DORSET-SOUTH (PU 9510) and MINDEN-SOM ((2U 1501). The RFCT's
          northern boundary was adjusted to PU 400170 to PU 5801913 to PU 750170 to PU
          945140; a gradual slope running east-souteast vice the previouse boundary
          running east-west along the 20 grid line The 2-3 FA had maintained the
          boundary along the 20 east-west grid line (PL PEAR). However, the discrepancy
          did not pose any problems/conflir-ts for calls for fire.
               Unexpectedly at 1030 hours two batteries belonging to 1-27 FA (MLRS)(GS)
          appeared an 2-3 FA's left (northern) flank requesting a position within the
          RFCrs area. Following the RFCT commander's approval, one battery each
          traveled behind 2-3 FA and 2-29 FA.
               At approximately UOO hours, the RFCT resumed its movement eastward. TF
 while the scouts from
          the two flanking TF*s conducted screening operations an the combat teafffs
          northern and southern flanks. During the late afternoon, TF 5-5 CAV was
          re-attached back to the RFCT and it began to makes its way toward the brigade
          to rejoin it's formation.
               At approximately 1702 hours as the RFCT approached PL BULLET, the scouts
          to TF 3-5 CAV began engaging Iraqi forces from the 9th Bde of the Tawakalna
          Division-Republican Guards vicinity PU 722137. The enemy was dispersed among
          a bunker co@ax supported by T-72 tanks and other armored vehicles. The
          RFcrs -       @oment stopped as Charlie Mer-h (C/3-5 CAV) established a base
          of fire, while- @ CAV moved -Forward and to the left of Charlie - f4ech.
          Charlie Tank (CM-34 AR) moved to the right, establishing three company teams
          an line. TF @ CAV, supported by CAB and indirect fires continued to fight
          throughout the evening and night. C/3-5 CAV called for illumination and DPICM
          an a bunker complex vicinity PU 765145; 154 rounds DPICM were -Fired between
          2-3 FA and 2-29 FA Battalions at 2020 hours. Later, TF 3-5- TAC reports
          observing the destruction of bunkers and multible secondary explosions

          imp@nq at grfct PU         . ATto during this fight anct between         2T40
          hours, the only two Copperhead artillery rounds fired -in the division   were
          fired by 2-3 FA on two bunkers (PU 733135 and PU 73113B). The two bunkers
          were lased by the COLT attached to TF 3-5 CAV.
               While TF 3-5 CAV was destroying the bunker complex, TF 4-32 AR maintained
          its position (vicinity PU 690152) and attempted to tie in with elements of 2
          SDE to the north. Regardless of their attempt, a gap of approximately 3-4
