                 b. FC6'4 BUTTS Preparation-

                  0630 17 Feb 91.Empty assets depart for LO&BASE Echo -For
            fuel.

                 - 0900 17 Feb ?!. Cdr, 45th FSB and 2d Bde S-4 calculate by
            empirical zata the consumption rate for the 2d Ede TF.
            Calcuat4@or.s show that 10,000 ga D@-2 are consumed per 1 hour of
            movement. 2d Bdo capacity including wholesale should have been
            28 5K tankers, 47 HEMtTs -Fuel@s, and 6 TPUs approx 240,000 gal
            or 24 h@s of operation. The Rde departed TPA              Y with
            180,000 gallons and moved 110 miles from TAA HEMY to FAA BUTTS
            over IS hours of operation. The 60,000 difference from maximum
            capacity to what departed TAA HENRY was caused by-the refuel of
            the 2d Bde an the evening of 14 Feb 91.
