1 0555 4-7 CAV continued the screen and 2-227 and TFV continued
                            moving FARPS.
1400 A/4-7CAV was just south of OBJ Collins and began to move
East as the Div turned. Visibility was down to 400 meters
                            due to a sand storm.
1820 4-7 CAV reported that they were in contact vic PL Bullet.
Receiving SAGER, RPO, small arms, and later tank fire. A24.
A33, A22, A31, and A36 were reported hit. That fire fight
resulted in 2 KIAs and 12 WlAs. 2-227 received word of the
fire fight and launched AH-64s to cover their positions.
Upon arrival at 4-7 CAV their situation was under control
and the aircraft were diverted to screen farther to the
east in front of the division. B/2-227 was initially in
front of 1/3AD in the south and C/2-227 in the north in
front of 2/3AD. At approx 2100 hours 2/3AD reported that
the enemy was attempting to find the seam that separated
3AD and IAD vie PL Bullet. C/2-227 encountered enemy
targets and took them under fire. After one rotation on
station in the north, the AH-64's were concerned that
friendly units were moving into the engagement area and
departed the area, and move to the south and continued
screening. That night the situation finally settled down
and one company was placed on a 30 minute reaction time.
                            but was not committed
27 Feb 91 0800 4-7 CAV was given the @ijv@ion to let 1/3AD pass through
them and assume the mission of: be prepared to screen the
division's left or right flank; and to travel behind the
1/3AD near the center line of the Division.
1000 2-6 CAV from the IlAvn Bde was placed OPCON to CAB. Their
commander received a mission brief at the Bde TAC to
exploit the success of the previous day, screen the
division front and destroy enemy formations vie OBJ DORSETT
                            and OBJ MINDEN.
1200 2-227 and 2-6 CAV began rotations across the divisions
frontage. There were numerous targets engaged and
destroyed by HELLFRRE and 30mm cannon fire. That rotation
continued until 2200 hours when 2-6 CAV departed station.

28 Feb 91 0800 Cease Fire was called. 2-227 continued to screen forward
of the division destroying targets in front of the brigades
as they moved until they reached PL KIWI.
