Assassins were last in the rotation. The Battalion had (norl,

We were last in rotation because we had been -first and last in
rotation the nigl-it before. At @pproxi(iiately 1000 hours, we
received a verbal warning order, plus graphics, from brigade.
(That was what we did, we never knew what to call it, we just
received a mission- What the w.Ai- really ended up being was an
exploitation %j-id a pursuit mission)-
We continued to leapfrog and by 1230 we were at FARF' Dodge.
'rhat was in the middle of one hellatious Shamal (windstorm) (it
was a bad one). Between 1230 and 1630, LTC Stevens was
attempting linkup with the Brigade Commander and Brigade S-3 foi-
@pecifics on the mission. As he was getting specifics we were
bounced to anothei- FARF' called tiIssVrri. AT 1700 Bravo and
Char-lie Companies received a brief from the Battalion and
Brigade commander at FARP @ssaii, at out, TOC- By 17:50 they
launched for the fig]-i-L between PL Tangerine and F'L BLillet.
As they launched at 1730 tl-ke Horsemen And the Assassins Were
briefed up on the fight. We IcILtnched to the next holding area.
I'm not certain it was named, We just picked a point on the map
aand named it.
Bravo Company launched into the southern sector in support of
lst Brigade. Charlie Company to ti-ie north with 2d Brigide. I
lef-I my scouts at FARP Nissan as darkness was approaching, I
didi-i't want to fly my @ guys with goggles until we figured (itti
how big a fight we were getting into. The 1.(attal3on Commander,
had jumped in to a Bl.ackhawk to commai-id and conti-(:)l thr@ battle.
