          MEMORANDUM FOR: SEE DISTRIBUTION                            09 FEB 1991


          SUBJECT: LOI@For Saudi Monday


          1. PURPOSE: The purpose of this LOI is to provide Commanders
          information on events scheduled on 11 Feb 91. Events tentatively
          scheduled to begin at 0900 hrs.

          2. INTENT: The primary intent is to provide all Dragon Soldiers a
          day of rest, relaxation and camaraderie. This will be accomplished oh
          11 Feb 91, designated as Saudi Monday. It is my hope that each
          soldier through sporting activities and fellowship reaffirm their
          friendships and enhance the Esprit - de - Corps of the Dragon Bn. We
          have worked long and hard to get where we are today. Now is the time
          to enjoy the fruits of this labor.

          3. SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:

              A. A CO: Responsible for establishing video/TV entertainment
          area. As a minimum, provide a VCR and television set and the required
          power source. Provide two KP's to HHC ISG NLT 111700 hrs to support
          in clean up. Also responsible for setting up tent, provided by HHC.

              B. B CO: Provide a volleyball and two referees, for the
          volleyball competition. Provide two KP's to HHC ISS NLT 111700 hrs to
          support in-clean up.

              C. C CO: Establish horseshoe pit. Additionally, provide al    1
          required horseshoe equipment and a referee. Provide two KP's to HHC
          1SG NLT 111700 hrs to support in clean up.

              D. D CO: Provide and set up 2 large@camouflage nets at TOC mess
          area. Provide two KP's to HHC ISS NLT 111700 hrs to support in clean
          up.

              E. HHC. Responsible for organizing and    conteollihg the
eshoe and softball competitions. Establish A
          competition schedule and unit standing charts. Responsible for the
          set up of the BAR-B-0 grill and meal preparation. Provide a GP medium
          tent +or the TV/VCR entertainment area. Additionally, provide 2 each
            1/2 ton trucks with drivers and locate in the vicinity of the Bn
          ALOC NLT 110800 FEB 91 for troop transport.

              F. Company ISS's responsible for ensuring Camps are properly
          policed and cleaned prior to units departure for Saudi Sunday. At a
          minimum establish a guard force consisting of one NCO and two walking
          sentinels with secure radio communication with the Bn TOC.
