            4. We will be able to test for the following, provided testing
            kits/materials are obtained:

                 a.  Hepatitis A

                 b.  Hepatitis B

                 c.  Hepatitis C

                 d.  Mycoplasma pneumoniae


                 e.  Other

            5.   All organisms/antibodies marked with an asterisk (11*11) are
            within this unit's capabilities for performance within twenty-
            four hours following movement of the equipment into the
            laboratory.

            5. In addition to the above, sensitivity and accuracy would be
            enhanced by a clean, environmentally stable operating area.
            Electricity and a source of high quality water is also required.

            6. The staffing requirement will depend on the specimen volume.
            We   are   capable   of  deploying   one   microbiologist,    one
            parasitologist, one immunologist/virologist, and one veterinary
            laboratory officer.      In addition,    experienced laboratory
            specialists (92B) can be deployed as required. This would allow
            the 996th Medical Laboratory to provide limited laboratory
            support to the 50th General Hospital in their AOR.
