          COMMANDER'S UPDATE

          1. MAJOR SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES (LAST WEEK)

               a. The 888th Med Det has gone to Riyadh on their way to
               redeploy from Dharhan this week.

               h. The 1012th GSU is now staffed by SGT Hansen and SSG
               Cowans. The activities are basically the same as last week.

               C. The Host Nation Warehouse at KKMC.haLs concluded the last
               of the dwindling MORE operation. No other changes in
               operations.

               d. The Host Nation Warehouse st Hafr al Batin has no
               significant changes in operations. Mr. Bitar is working
               toward limiting hours of operations to closed the facility
               between 1630 and 2000.

               e. Condemned ground beef at the Hafr al Batin Warehouse has
               finally been removed and destroyed. However, accomplishment
               of this destruction activity remains a difficult problem.

               f. Redeployment physicals have been completed with the
               exception of SPC Nelms in Khamis Muschait.

               g. There was a dog bite incident at KKMC on 25 Mar 1991.
               The dog was killed by a vehicle and its head sent in for
               rabies examination in Germany.

               h. increasing numbers of request for information and
               inoculations for pets/mascots have been received this week.
               Many of these come from 7th Corps units.

               i. Plans were made to share a Conex for redeployment with
               the 379th Blood Detachment. However, the 402nd Inventory
               Detachment brought equipment in unexpectedly leaving
ur
               own conex. MAJ Schiller will work this issue.

               j. CPT Harris is working on redeployment manifesting and
               other related activities.
