           MAJOR SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES:


                On 17FEB, Major Adamson and  SGT SmyrnL-s arrived in f@hamis
           ML(shait. At 0400 on ISFEB, the vet team along with the kennel
           master and Major Mittelstadt, of the SPS, went to several K?
           posts to check on the level of energy the dog's exhibited near
           the end of their 12 hour- shift. The dogs were a select group
           and ranged in.age from 6 to 11 years old. All the dogs that
           were seen seemed to be holding up Well.
                Major Adamson held a small sick call at 0545 that same day.
           Mira 140J was re-bled at that time. The veterinarian left for
           Riyadh later that day.
                Rabies and distemper vaccinations were given to six dogs on
           I?FEB91.

           MAJOR PROBLEMS:


           TOSCA      169N     FEMALE      4 YEARS OLD

           Dog has what initially,appeared to be a cyst on right rear
           hock. Upon examination by Dr. Adamson, the cause of the problem
           was a sharp blow to the area causing fluid to become
           encapsulated under the hock area. The fluid could not be
           aspirated. Surgery is not advised at this time. The problem
           will, correct itself as the body will rl--absorb the fluid.
           Should the area become red, irritated, and inflamed,
           re-evaluation of the condition will be necessary.

           PEPPER     19C)B   MALE      11 YEARS OLD

          :Animal has@intermittant lameness on right rear leg. Dr.' Adamson
           examined animal and animal exhibited some pain on palpat   ion and

           indications of the beginnings of arthritis. TX - Dog should
           remain within weight standards (75-80 lbs.) and avoid any extra
           weight. Low impact exercise daily. No medication prescribed at
           this time.


           TED      298C     MALE      7 YEARS OLD


           Animal's dermatitis problem is clearing up nicely. However,
           animal began bleeding slightly from the penis. SLiSpicisions of
           a drug overdose was confirmed by telecommunications with
           veterinarian. A new drug therapy schedule was rerieved for
           resolving the animal's moist ec@ema problem. TX- Four week
           therapy program using Prednisone at lower dosages.
