         SUBJECT: Employment of the 2nd and 490th Chemical Battalion in
         the Corps Rear Area.


         1. Reference memorandum from, XVIII ABN CORPS, DTD: 18 DEC 90,
         SUBJECT: SAB.

         2. The 490th Chemical Battalion has established direct
         coordination for operational planning to implement a coordinated
         effort in decontamination of the Corps Rear Area.

         3. This coordination does not include allowing the Corps RCP to
         have direct notification for employment nor the ability to
         direct decontamination efforts.

         4. The only asset available in the Corps Rear Area is 318th
         chemical c@@mpany and that will be tasked only by SUPCOM.

         5. 318th Chemical Company is primarily responsible for Base
         Cluster C and D.

         6. It additional support is needed by the Corps beyond the 2nd
         Chemical Battalion, it may be requested through the G3/SPO.
