           3AD OPERATIONS ORDER 90-10 (OPERATION DESERT STORM)



                a. (U) Required immunizations:

                     (1) (lU) Tetanug-diptheria (for all soldiers not
           rece.@@ving the T-D within the last 10 years).

                     (2) (,) Typhoid (for all soldiers not receiving rhe
           typhoid vaccine within the last 5 years).

                     (3) (U) '4eningo--occal (Quadrivalent - CA, C, Y. W135)
           (for all soldiers not receiving the vaccine within the last 5
           years).

                     (4)  (U) Gamma                     prophylactic
           immunization of 5cc per soldier.

               b. (U) Medications:

                     (1) (U) Chloroquin* tablets for malarial
           chemoprophylaxis may or may not be issued to individual soldiers
           prior.to arrival in SWA. This will depend on its availability.
           Requirements to undergo prophylactic treatment will be made by SWA
           local medical authority.

                     (2) (U) Soldiers should carry at least & top* months
           supply of any prescription medications

               0. (U) Preventive medicine protective items: insect
           repellant (DEET), eye solution, cbapmtick, sunscreen prep gel, foot
           powder, iodine tablets.

               d. (U) Dental: Units will ensure that & duplicate panorox
           X-ray is on file with home station dental records.

                    (13) Precautions: Each soldier will carry two canteens or
           two quarts of w&t4r. Fluid replacement is essential. (NOTE:
           Coffee causes increase in loom of fluids by  causing increased
           urinary output and increase in sweating).
