                                   OBJ Utah, assume responsibility for
                                   enemy prisoners of war, and protect the
                                   Di-@igion flank and rear.   The Brigade.(-).
                                   began movement at 271800 Feb 91 along
                                   Highway 8 to a reserve position east of
                                   OBJ Orange.  Order of mz.rch was TF 2-18,
                                   Brigade TAC CP, 4741 FA, TF 2-69, Brigade
                                   RAIN CP, 2@gth Engineer Battalion (-) , and
                                   197th Support Battalion.    Lead elements
                                   arrived east of Jalibah Air Field before
                                   272200 Feb 91.   The Brigade Command Group
                                   received instructions to temporarily cease
                                   fire and stop all Movement at 280229
                                   Feb 91.  The Brigade consolidated foragg
                                   and stood by for further instructions.
                                   TF 1-18 remained on OBJ Utah east of
                                   Tallil Air Base pending relief by the 82d
                                   Airborne Division,   The Brigade had
                                   advanced 367 kilometers into Iraq.

          28 Feb 91                Brigade (-) occupied sector and initiated
                                   action to destroy all Iraqi military
                                   equipment.  By 282036 Feb 91, TF 1-18 wag
                                   rel.ieved on OBJ Utah and closed with
                                   the Brigade east of OBJ Orange.     Brigade
                                   prisoners of war under control of TF 1-18
                                   eventually totalled 1,269.    For the
                                   remainder of the day, the Brigade
                                   consolidated, conducted refit operations,
                                   and began to destroy tons of Iraqi
                                   military equipment and munitions.

          1 Mar 91                 At 011206 Mar 91, TF 1-18 and TF, 2-18
                                   established road blocks along the
                                   Division rear boundary to turn back
                                   displaced civilians and ca'pture
                                   retreating enemy.   200 displaced
                                   civilians were processed at the Brigade
                                   collection@.point; medical attention,
                                   food, and water were provided.
                                   Destruction operations continued with
                                   over 200 ammunition. bunkers and numerous
                                   equipment caches of the Al Faw R(IFC
                                   Infantry Division.   4-41 FA was positioned
                                   f8rward with 2d Brigade, reinforcing
                                   3-41 FA.  TF Bunyei with the Bz%igade.
                                   Deputy Commander, @ecovery, and engineer
                                   assets was dispatched to retrieve
                                   equipment and personnel bogged down along
                                   the Brigade's axis of advance.

          2 Mar 91                 Destruction mission continued 24 hours a
                                   day.  The Brigade displaced 20 kilometers
                                   east to TAA Hammer as the Division
                                   reserve.
