It consists of the first eight sent out from Bamberg.
25 Dec 90: The soldiers of the Battalion celebrate Chri.stmas with
services at each of the companies, officiated by Chaplain(CPT)

large Christmas meals with ham, roast beef, and turkey and all the
trimmings normally associated with the season. 'Near beer' is
served as a beverage for those who wanted it. The rest of the day
is reserved for personal maintenance with most soldiers using it to
shower, wash clothes, write letters to and read the letters sent by
loved ones. A large shipment of mail arrives today. OPD on
mobility operations continues.

survivalibilty positions. OPD is on the C2 (Command and Control)
based on modifications to task organizations and anticipated
missions. Battalion Maintenance meetings are conducted daily.

Evacuation. C Company begins construction of a full scale training
mock-up of Iraqi defensive positions. The design is basically the
same used in the sand table and on the pier at Dammam, but since
apace is not limited as before, this one can be full scale. They
manage to lay mines, string wire, construct fighting positions with
communication tunnels, and build berms in only three days.
30 Dec 90: The scheduled OPD for today is for D Company to
'Demonstrate Proofing Techniques' and for CPT Moulton and SFC
Robinson, NBC Officer and NCO, to brief the NBC Decontamination
Plan.
