            include ammunition caches. artillery and tank ammunition bunkers,
            medical supplies and division and corps level command posts. The
            most interesting discovery is a missile storage facility outside UM
            Qasr containing Silkworm missiles.


            15 Mar 91: Commander meets with Navy EOD experts to discuss plan to
            destroy missiles. Battalion sends a ten man detail to help outload
            the facility; 2AD(FWD) picks up the nission the next day.


            16 Mar 91: The Battalion receives warning order to rejoin 2ACR. S-4
            is getting us A rations again. Eggs fo- breakfast and steak for
            dinner.


            18 Mar 91: The Battalion jumps again to rejoin the 2ACR. The
            Battalion is putting an incredible amount of mileage on its
            vehicles. The day started early and dark. The wind changes
            direction during the evening and is blowing the clouds from the
            burning oil fields in our direction. The convoy takes all day with
            the last company closing just after dark. The Battalion is again
            set in Iraq with the 2ACR at AA Virginia (vic PU 133090). Once
            set, A and C Companies rejoin their Squadrons to prepare for future
            combat operations. For the next four days the Battalion cocentrates
            on maintenance.



            19 Mar 91: 2ACR holds Co=-nanders' update. ILT Wither picks up 244
            PVS-7B's and 133 SAWs in KXMC.



            20 Mar 91: The Battalion receives a mission to recon multiple
            routes south to XXMC. Water is in short supply, no showers nor
            laundry until situation improves.


            21 Mar 91: The Battalion receives a warning order to move north to
            relieve units along the Demarcation Line. S-I/XO drops off first
            batch of unit recommendations for SWA awards off at Brigade
            Headquarters.



            22 Mar 91: The Battalion is given a mission to recon routes north.


            23 Mar 91: The Battalion moves with the 2ACR north to support the
            mission of screening the northern portion of the Demarcation line
            along the Euphrates River. The Regiment relieves the XVIII
            Airborne Corp in the sector. The Battalion sets up a base camp at
            PV 034150. This is the ALBADIYAL AL JUNUBIYAII desert in Southern
            Iraq.
