               operations, and to enroll them in the surveillance system.

          5. Areas being monitored can presently be divided into 4 major
          geographic locations (Unit identities are not given in this
          unclassified version):

          PIER        = Rear area port facility
                          Billeting - GP tents and warehouses
                          Messing - 2 MRE's per day, 1 hot meal (vat cans)

          REGIMEN     = Rear base camp from which infantry units rotate
                          Billeting - fixed dormitories (air-conditioned)
                          Messing - 2 MRE's per day, I hot meal (messhall)

          HELO        = Helicopter base
                          Billeting - GP tent camp
                          Messing - 2 MRE's per day, I hot meal (field mess)

          FIXED WING = Fixed wing base
                          Billeting - GP tents and BOQ (air conditioned)
                          Messing - 2 MRE's per day, 1 chow hall meal
                                       prepared by US and LOCAL personnel


          6. Results for the week of 2 to 8 September:

               NOTE: Population numbers at each site represent only those
          units which have thus far reported weekly summaries. Data is
          pending from other units at these locations (and other
          locations).
