the typo of NBC threat and the type of mission required to complete.
Mov* all students outside to established site; will perform each
step an instructed.
5. MOPP Gear Exchange: Thor* are eight (8) steps when conducting a
Gear Exchange.
HOPP GEAR EXCHANGE
STEP 1. DKCOII GEAR-Performing this stop remov*x gross contamination
from individual Sear (weapon, h*lmot. pack and mask carrier).
A. Chomical/BioloXic&l- Cover your personnel equipment
with STB dry mix and brush or rub it into the material. Gently
shake off all excess. Set aside Soar on an uncontaminated
surface (plastic, poncho or similar mat*rial).
B. RadioloXical- Brush or w@p* radiological contamination from
your individual gear. Wash with warm, soapy water (if availabl*).
Set aside to dry on an uncontaminated surface (plastic, poncho or
similar material).
STEP 2. DXCON-NGOD- Performing this step r*movos gross contamin;
from the mask and hood.
A. Chomical/Biological- Looson your buddy's neck cord and hood
strop* from und*rarms and reattach velcro patches on hood. Ugly
the M25ghl Kit, decontaminating the hood and exposed parts of yot
buddy's mask (including the canister and hose on ;. . masks
Use the docon 2 wipe first, then the d*con I wipe. Start with tt
mask eye Ions outserts, wipe from top of hood down. Using decon
ill got rid of any rosidu* left on the lenses from docon 2
wipe. The I*ns*s will not cloud up. When you or* finished wiping
your buddy's mask, your buddy will us* the d*con kit to d*con his
own gloves.
B. Radiological- Loosen your buddy's neck cord and hood straps
from @orarms and reattach v*lcro patches on hood. Wipe your
buddy" a mask and hood including the canister and hoe* on M24/M25AL
masks with sponso dipped in hot soapy water. Rine* with sponge
dipped in clean water. Dry with paper towels or rags. Cold soapy
water is not an effective for removing contamination as hot soapy
water is. If water supply is not available. skin d*con kits may
be used,
STEP 3. RMOVE OVIM - Performing this step limits the spread
of contamination and helps prevent agents from pon*trating through
skin or undorgarm*ntx.
