               1. The operation to date has fallen into two phases; the
reception of the brigade group in Port Yubail and its subsequent,
               deployment for the FTX*

               RECEPTION

2, Medical cover during the reception phase of Op GRANBY was
               provided by medical sections based in;

a# "Baldrick Lines", a tented camp*
                     I
                     b. camp 4, a purpose-built camp for immigrant manual
                     workers.

                     C. The sheds, large dockside warehouses.
               3. During the first week of the deployment an increase in the
incidence of skin complaints occurred, accounting for up to 50%
of cases presenting to medical centres. The principal conditions
seen were folliculitial sweat rashes and some prickly heat.
Troops living in Baldrick Lines and the Sheds were more effected
than those living in the more sanitary and air-conditioned
               comfort of Camp 4*
               DFPLO M@ENT PWWE
               4. When the brigade deployed RAPs became responsible for
providing medical care at first line. The morbidity reporting
system fell to pieces as units dispersed in the desert.-Only in
the past few days has the coverage of daily morbidity returns
               increased to more acceptable levels.

               5. The medical centres in Camp 4 and Baldrick Lines are still
open to provide cover to FMA troops; the one in Shed 4 has
               closed.
