          impoundments should be avoided or, if impossible, minimized.

              Group A Meningococcal Meningitis occurs sporadically, most
          related to Hajj returnees.

          11. Climate Considerations

              Terrain is mostly flat and barren desert covered with loose
          sand and gravel.
              The climate is desert; hot, dry; humid'and sultry  in summer.
          Haze, duststorms and sandstorms are common. Therearelimited
          freshwater resources with an increasing depandenceonlargc-scale
          desalination facilities.

                Heat injuries, eye  and mucous membrane irritation will
          impact on personnel especially May thru Sep. Adecluate fluids,
          eye and skin protection are recommended.
