                   SUSTAINMENT REVIEW GROUP, ALEXANDRIA, VA 22332-0400

SUBJECT:   Operation Desert Shield (ODS), Lessons Learned


1.   Reference video conference between HQ AMC (LTG Thomas) and MSCs, 11 Sep-
tember 1990, subject:    Desert Shield Sustainment Review.

2.   As requested in the referenced video conference, input has been solicited
from TECOM's test facilities regarding problems/lessons learned from testing
in conditions similar to those being experienced during ODS.   Enclosure 1 is a
list of consolidated comments from this headquarters, Electronic Proving
Ground, Dugway Pro~ing Ground, and Cold R~gions Test Center.   Enclosure 2 is
input provided by Yuma Proving Ground.    Enclosure 3 is a list of performance
characteristics of items tested and assessed by TECOM.
