Close attention should be paid to disk brake pads. If they get sand be-
tween the pad and the disk1 considerable damage to the disk can result very
quickly. If the area is otherwise quiet1 such situations usually identify
themselves audibly by squeaking, scraping or grinding sounds. Also, if brake
response changes suddenly (they don't hold ltke they did) it can be a clue tb
sand contamination.
