TOPIC:   Vehicle Cooling Systems

DISCUSSION:

Operations in hot weather and/or on rough terrain increase the
chances an engine will overheat.   Cooling system efficiency also
decreases with the use of water with high mineral content,
causing the calcification of water channels.  Poor cooling also
results from dirt between radiator cooling fins.

LESSON(S)  LEARNED:

Replenish radiators with potable water except in emergencies.
Blow dirt out of radiators with compressed air or water jet when
possible.
