                       In no case will evacuation of casualties in a
                       situation of serious casualty overload be delayed
                       for lack of complete medical records or'.other
                       administrative requirements.

               e. Evacuation PolicV

                   (1) Evacuation of injured personnel will-be to the
                       nearest higher echelon treatment f-a,cility. GrounJ
                       evacuation will be the most likely method-however,
                       aeromedical evacuation will be requested forpatients
                       ,classified as an urgent evacuation requiring
                       immediate medical treatment.


               g. Prpvpntivg Medicine and Sanitation

                   (1) Water should be consumed at the @ate of 1-2 quarts
                       per hour. The higher,vallie used during p4riods of
                       heavy exertion or extreme temperatures. Only water
                       from approved sources may be consumed. In
                       emergencies water from non-approved sources may be
                       consumed after disinfecting wiht Iodine tablets,
                       Chlorine ampules, or Calcium hypochlorite.

                   (2) All animals to include snakes and scorpions are
                       considered dangerous and are to be avoided.

                   (3) Food from approved sources only  should be consumed.
