consisted of the two LVTC-7's. The vast majority of
Communications Platoon Marines were with the Support Echelon and
Logistics Train and were directly involved in the capture and
processing of hundreds of EPW'S. over 20 Marines in the
Communications Platoon have been nominated to receive personal
awards for their superior contributions throughout Desert Storm.
Medical
The RAS remained field ready during the entire period. From
15 to 22 February, Anti-Hepatitus and Botulism Toxiod
immunizations were given to all of TFR. On 24 February , the RAS
functioned as the primary casualty receiving and treatrment unit
for TFR at the first and second breaches into Kuwait. Four
Americans and Iraqi prisoners were treated.
