All the clinics remained staffed for emergency/standby care.

Mechanical problems have begun. 3 compressors and 3
autoclaves went out of operation. The prophy angles continued to
deteriorate and the variations in power took its toll on the light
curing bulbs. 2 clinics were forced to use chemical cured
composite material vice light cured, Our supply of chemical cured
material is very limited. We pressed MEDLOG for greater
availability of their 3 repair techs to support a weekly PM run.
The technician was available the first week, but not available the
             record week.

We procured another commercial vehicle, a Jeep Cherokee, which
helped on the long runs north to Al Khanjar and South to Shaikh
Isa, but vehicles remain a critical problem. This problem was
compounded when CAPT Kvaska and Chief Esquibel left their vehicle
locked and parked for a short time on the MSR. When they returned
it was stolen we have been unable to locate it. Two of our seven
vehicles have been stolen, one CUT V is at the DSC with CAPT
Kvaska and the other CUT V has engine problems.

Prior to the outbreak of hostilities purely Dental mission
personnel were moved into Foxtrot at Kabrit and to Al Khanjar.
The Dental personnel with the Medical companies were well
incorporated into medical treatment at all the companies and
morale was high. LT Bloch volunteered for assignment with a
mobile collecting station and was into Kuwait on 6th day. Mike
and Charlie companies both moved into Kuwait with our forced
setting up at Kuwait International A or and Al Jabor

The month closed wit"eadquarters involvement in settling an
issue on the utilization of Dental Technicians who had been flowed
into country to fill primary Medical roles. Though not
technically a part of the Dental Detachment as instructed they
             nonetheless have involved our time.
