                                Logistics/Supply

Logistical support of all dental clinics, rear and forward,
has been a monumental taskt Dental S-4's vehicular assets
             decreased from 7 to 2 vehicles due to: 1) 2 HMMV's were stolen, 2)
2 HMMV's and one CUCV are awaiting parts. Three vehicles are
marginally operational. Providing medical/dental supplies, NBC
gear, and mail to forward dental personnel has been a major
challenge but successfully accomplished. Movement of dental
personnel to meet operational committments has been a logistical
nightmare due to lack of vehicles.

Supplies ordered through SASSY trickle in. Nineteen of 140
items ordered this month arrived on a 35-day turn-around. Two
months worth of dental supplies are on order through SASSY and
MEDLOG. New tires ordered for all tactical vehicles were
             received.

Mail has been a constant headache for several reasons.
Included are: frequent movement of personnel, consolidation of
mail of dental personnel assigned to the Dental Det and Medical in
country, wrong ZIP codes, misdirected mail from the rear. .

ADAL 662's and 664's assigned to all clinics total 48 and 16,
respectively. Inventory of ADAL blockb will be accomplished before
turn-in to MEDLOG. Ten dental air compressors and 10 dental units
were pulled from ADAL block configuration at MEDLOG to supplement
modical's suction capability in their OR's. Dental air
compressors have been performing surprisingly well despite
exposure to periods of excessive sand and heat.

Embarkation and retrograde phase for dental is slow due to
lack of forklift capability. Pallets and embarkation boxes were
ent.

                                         Civic Action

No tours or demonstrations have been conducted for civilian
             groups, only local military VIP'S.
