                      RIPPER'S ZONE TO ENABLE TF RIPPER TO REPOSITION UNITS
                      'AWAY FROM AMMUNITION/CHEMICAL HAZARD AREAS.


          28 February            All Division offensive operations ceased at
                                 0700, and units were instructed to discontinue
                                 taking NAP and Cipro pills. Ilth Marines
                                 continued repositioning to consolidate and
                                 avoid hazardous ammunition and chemical dumps@'
                                 Units continued to recover Iraqi equipment and
                                 ammunition. Plans were developed for the
                                 retrograde of ammunition to the Ammunition
                                 Supply Point at Mic-;hab and +or the recovery of
                                 ammunition left behind during the attack       I
                                 through Kuwait. Plans were also developed for
                                 the retrograde of the Ilth Marines on 4 March
                                 to the Division Support Area at Mani-Fa Bay.

              0700:   DIVISION  INSTRUCTED ALL UNITS TO CEASE OFFENSIVE
                      OPERATIONS.


              0748:   DIVISION  INSTRUCTED ALL UNITS TO DISCONTINUE TAKING NAP
                      AND CIPRO PILLS.
