          S. Minor decon station requirements and bandage removal/wound decon
considerations. Problems identified for later clarification.

          6. Identification of medical personnel and supervisors was a problem in decon
          MOPP 4 simulation.
7.' Time element in actuality would be different then during simulation.
Triage and initial decon medical care considerations need further awareness
+or preventive treatment and of potential problems.

          S. Non-violation of MOPP 4 coverings has been entrenched in the troops from
previous doctrine and training. In the contaminated wounded this may be
compromised to stabilize a patient and save life and limb.

          9. FSSO medical facilities still do not have adequate medical decon plans to
assist in potential disaster situations. Therefore, GSSD medical facilities
were not included in this exercise again.

          10. Air evacuation procedures are still conf ,using and variable throughout the
60R. Command elements prefer not to exercise the air evac call system until
an all theatre definite guideline and procedure document has been
          disseminated.

          Correction Recommendations:

          1. Continued training/drills for all personnel needed on basic lst aid,
triaging and stabilization. Training as many staff including staff NCO's and
officers an medical decon needed for potential new troop training at a station
or substitution for missing team members or relief roles.

          2. All potential med evac drivers need to know the location and directions to
          key medical and decon facilities.

          3. Concur with 5/11 plan to gather as many corpsman and medically interested
marines for training classes. Process of training key points to only the
raining cycle is to
          slow.

          4. HQ will exercise their medical decon personnel again the 25-26 Nov to
include TAC teams. Regimental exercise will be 28-29 Nov. Bn NBC and medical
personnel interested in observing or participating the training sessions are
invited. Bn's need to set-up and exercise their medical decon plans as well.

          5. Re-emphasis on identification and proper treatment of different chemical
          type casualties needed.

          6. HQ will be using M9 bands on different arms and legs to identify medical
and supervisor decon team members. Medical plans to use tape identification
to hoods as well for easier visualization. Recommend that duct tape with name
