       PERSONNEL AND ADMINISTRATIONT

       On 2 February 1991 lst Lieutenant D. 1. Vail USMCR chocked into
       the Squadron fresh from flight school. During this period, Major
       I.B. Smith was transferred to MAS 26.- To fill MOB shortages
       three Marines from the casualty replacement regiment were
       transferred to the Squadron. The Squadron reports no shirker
       problems and no casualties during this reporting period. Major
       R.B. Humphrey, USMCRI is in the process of conducting a XAS
       investigation on missing and damaged equipment. During this
       period, the average strength of the Squadron remained constant at
       33 officers and 197 enlisted Marines.




       MEI)rCALs

       HML 767 NOMAD medical personnel headed by Doc "Butcher" Mask,
       USNR, operated a Squadron Aid Station at the Lonesome Dove flight
       line and provided first class medical service to all the NOMADS.
       On the evening of 22 February 1991, a Marine truck driver with
       MWSS 273 suffered a scull 'fracture near the NOMAD flight line
       when the tail gate of his truck struck him on the head. The NOMAD
       medical team rushed to his aid and the injured Marine was
       transported to LIMA Company Field Hospital          this period,
       several Marines reported injuries, Corporai         injur          C. 552 (b)(6)
       knee, Sergeant        was stricken with a hernia, Captaine"  ".
       injured his neck carrying plywood, and Captain @injured his
       back while tearing down a BP tent. Please not* that the Marine
       aircrew of this Squadron were exposed on a daily basis to heavy
       concentrations of spoke from the burning Kuwait oil fields.


       CIVIC ACTION

       On 12 February 1991, FAT TUESDAY, the NOMADS produced, directed
       and marched in the first annual AL lubayl Mardi Gras Parade at
       the EAF. A good time was had by all.
