February brought the ground war; Feb 16 and the exodus of the
Iraqui Army from Kuwait: 27-8 Feb. This command continued
providing CSS to about 42 different commands from the Marine
Corps. the Army. the Air Force, the Navy and the British. A
joint Army/Marine Corps army pipeline was about t)O% comoleted
during this period and awaits final testing before utilization.
This command played the active role of Moving remains (the dead)
from the air field, upon arriving from front lines, to be moved
to Graves Hegistration at Fleet Hospital Five at the port. We
were also tagged an providing overflow stretcher bearers to the
USAF hospital an recuired. With the establishment of the Wing
Headquarters at the airfield, a dramatic increase in support
requirements began to have an impact on this command. Our 2

are manned by leas than 40 Marines. Each of this commands two
farms nas over 72 bladders/berms and issues daily average from
100thousand gallons (KAA) to 400taousand gallons (JAF). Minimal
disciplinary problems and Very little low morale apparent.
