         TAB C TO FRAG ORDER 7-91 (Operation DESERT STORM)

         Reference: (a) Appendix 2 to Annex C to 2d MarDiv OPLAN Desert Storm
                          Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Defense (NBCD)
                          Operations (U)

         1. SITUATION


                      a. Assumptions


                         (1) That the Iraqi forces maintain capability to
         employ chemical agents through mines, missiles, artillery and aircraft
         munitions.


                         (2) That 6th Marines units are able to employ initial
         decontamination efforts and will be supported with additional
         regimental/divison assets if required.

         2. MISSION. Maintain the optimum posture for NBC defense against
         enemy employment of chemical warfare consistent with other mission
         requirements.

         3. EXECUTION


                      a. Concept of Operations

                         (1) Establish decontamination/chemical casualty decon
         sites in vicinity of log train/bed down/assembly areas.

                         (2) Be prepared to activate an NBC Control Center to
         collate, evaluate and disseminate NBC reports and information from the
         battlefield to higher headquarters, attachments and subordinate units.

                      b. Coordinating Instructions

                         (1) Locate, construct, and be prepared to activate
         personnel, equipment, and casualty decontamination sites. The site
         grids will be forwarded to Regimental NBC Control Center as identified.

                         (2) The regimental mobile decontamination detachment
         will be employed as situation develops to augment/provide individual
         unit decon efforts as required. Units supported by NBC detachment
         will:


                               (a) Provide three man augmentation.
