         Operational summary (by          I-

         General. Authentication procedures are being utilized. Initial
         issue of Peridostigmine and Cypro have been exhausted.            )e;PITF- NO
         Detachments 38-B and 28-1 went to MOPP level 4 this week, -ren@ce,-$UC44 D,,tec7to,
         additional suits have been requested for these Marines. All       f&.-e -racc
         detachments are operational in support of Operation Desert Storm.

         Shaikh Isa Airbase. MATCS 38 Det B continues to provide 24-hour
         Control Tower and Radar Approach Control service to Shaikh Isa.
         The TSQ-107 continues to provide strong primary targdts and
         coverage.

         Jubail KCAF. MATCS 38 Dot C continues to,provide 24-hour Control
         Tower, Radar Approach Control and TACAN service to Tubail.
         Detachment C continues to perform Mode 2 checks on all aircraft in
         it's sector of responsibility. on 24 January, CW03 Thompson began
         providing the Helicopter Director and Coordinator function for the
         TACC utilizing Dot C's CCS. Early warning from the TACC has been
         timely.
         King Abdul Az;lz Naval Base. 14ATCS 38 Det E continues to provide
         24-hour Control Tower and NAVAID (TACAN, MRAAIS) service to King
         Abdul Aziz. Det E Maintenance continues to provide up to 4th
         echelon service to Dot C as well its own generators. Det E
         received the second Anthrax shot on 24 January.

         Ras Al Ghar. MATCS 18, Dot B, continues to provide Control Tower
         service to MAG 16 helicopters. ATC Tower services ceased at the
         Manifa Bay FARP, although the TACAN remains in place. The TRC-195
         control tower from the FARP was redeployed to Ras Al Ghar, and
         will be manned by five controllers and two co=unications
         technicians to provide control tower service, as the remainder of
         the Det'be4 moves to Tanajib. This move is scheduled for 27
         January.

         Ras Al TanaiLb_. MATCS Dot 18 Dot B has deployed a RAIS Team
         forward to Tanajib to provide control tower services until the
         TSQ-120 Control Tower is emplaced at the site. The TSQ-120 will
         be fully operational on 28 January.
