           (2)  Immediately after taking the antibiotic, the sm must
   report to the medical system to complete the anthrax vaccination
   series as identified in paragraph 4a(l). Ciprofloxacin antibiotic
   treatment will continue for at least 30 days. If clinical symptoms
   occur, SM will be treated with oral Ciprofloxacin (1000 mg loading
   dose, then 75(-) mg two times daily) or intravenous do@,ycycline (20o
   mg loading dose, then 100 mg two times daily (intravenous or
   parenteral Ciprofloxacin is not available at present time).

       BOtLIlinum Toxin


       a. Pre-Exposure Vaccination

           (1) BotLtlinLim vaccine (to@@oid) should be given in C).5 ml
   doses subcutaneously at zero, two, and twelve weeks, with
   protective levels of antibodies established two weeks following the
   third dose. (Booster dose is given at one year.)
           (2) Immunization priority will be based on CINCCENT
   guidance based on risk of exposure.

       b. F'ost-E>:posLtre Treatment

           (1) The botltlinum antitoxin (despeciated equine) is
   available in limited quantities for the treatment of
   bOtLtlinLtm-exposed patients. Antitoxin is available for treatment
   only. Antitoxin is administered under- protocol and by the
   direction of the Medical Vaccination Teams.
           (2) Decision to use botulinLtM antitoxin is made by medical
   authorities.


   6. Additional Guidance

       a. Anthrax and batulinum vaccines can be given simultaneously
   in separate arms.
