This information paper was first published on July 29, 1997. Since then, the Office of the Special Assistant for Gulf War Illnesses has received new information from other investigations that updates some of the material presented in the original paper. Changes include:

• Additional information from other investigations and continued interactions with MM-1 experts has better explained the Fox’s use during the Gulf War.
• The paper now reflects the current editorial standards of the Office of the Special Assistant for Gulf War Illnesses.
• New source documents enhance the narrative’s accuracy.
