     27 Feb    H&S Co Marines continue to guard over IOC) EPW's in the Al

               Khanjar Med Facility. Twenty +our hour rotations tax

               manpower to the limit. PMU detachment departed +or Al

               Jaber, Kuwait.



               Charlie Co advance party departs to fourth position, DSG-2

               forward. Advance party comes under enemy fire. Charlie

               Co moving North.



               Al Khan.)ar has received 68 WIA total to date. Ward

               census 117, 22 D.R. cases. lst. Craniotomy done. Lima

               company placed in a holding pattern for going North.



     28 Feb    Allied forces liberate Kuwait. Cease +ire is called.





               H&S Co continues to guard EPW's at Al Knanjar facility.



               Charlie Co advance party moves to fifth position, south to

               DSC forward. Clearing Station Brava returns.



               Foxtrot Company treats Iraqi POW's being processed to

               Saudi EPW Camps.



               Retrograde of Hotel Co is initiated. Total patients

               admitted: 210 EPW'S, 89 WIA'S, 58 DNBI'S. Problems with

               MEDEVAC was discussed with LCOL Brannon from the Air Evac

               Control Center. It is taking EPW's 24 hrs and WIA's 8 hrs

               to be moved.





     01 Mar    Three H&S Co F,ersonnel detailed to escort EPW's -Flown -From

               Al Khanjar to EPW camp at Al Jubail. Uniform requirements

               were downgraded to weapon only.



               Hotel and Delta Companies start breaking down their gear.

               Inventory of AMAL's undertaken.



               Al Khanjar Trauma Center provides humanitarian treatment

               of an Iraqi mother and her 4 children and EVAC to Fleet

               Hospital 5 via MAG-26. Warning +or movement Of Lima Co

               cancelled.











     02 Mar    Charlie Co main body moves to +iftn position, DSC forward.

Viaclovski is promoted to

               CFIL.





               Hotel and Delta Companies packed and waiting for the order

               to retrograde. The first American Marine died in this

               facility today. Ist walking blood donation (A+) +or tne

               patient in the D.P. (I unit). Total patients to oate:

               231 EPW'S, 86 WIA'S. 24 hour delay in peace talks.

               FITREPS and EVALS being prepared.
