Erick K. Ishii Ph.D., M.P.H., Medical Analyst

Dr. Ishii recently completed a post-doctorate fellowship at the National Institutes of Health where he conducted epidemiological research in hearing, balance, taste, and smell. He also represented the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders on the Worksite Health Promotion Action Committee (WHPAC), chaired the Health evaluation subcommittee, and was a member on the WHPAC Safety, and Information Dissemination/Marketing Sub-committee. Dr. Ishii has co-authored papers in several peer reviewed journals, a chapter in an environmental epidemiology textbook, and was a corresponding editor in a World Health Organization textbook. He received his doctorate in Occupational and Environmental Epidemiology from the Graduate School of Public Health at the University of Pittsburgh, and he graduated from the University of Hawaii with a BS in Biology, a certificate (bachelors equivalent) in Psychology, and a Masters in Public Health in Chronic Disease Epidemiology and Environmental Health.
