A Guide to Gulf War Veterans Health

In March 1998, The Veterans' Administration published The Guide to Gulf War Veterans' Health. This report is designed to provide an introduction to issues regarding Gulf War veterans' health. It provides an overview of the Gulf War experience, the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Defense health programs available for Gulf veterans, and the common symptoms and diagnoses of these veterans. Emphasis is placed on providing the most recent available information from clinical and scientific studies of Gulf War veterans' illnesses. Specific topics (chapters) include: A History of Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, The Veterans' Administration Health Care Programs, The Department of Defense Comprehensive Clinical Evaluation for Gulf War Veterans', Depleted Uranium, Chemical Warfare Agents, Research on Gulf War Veterans' Illnesses, and Some Hypotheses Regarding Illnesses in Gulf War Veterans'.
