File: aabaz_01.txtSUBJECT: 35 TFW CONTAMINATION CONTROL AREA PROCEDURES PLAN CONTAMINATION CONTROL AREA (CCA) PROCEDURES PLAN INTRODUCTION This plan has been written by the Air Force Disaster Preparedness (DP) office to spell out procedures that will be used in a CCA Refer to Attachment 1, CCA Layout Plan and Attachment 2, Decon Line Layout Plan for clarification. Changes will be made by the base UP Office' in writing, whenever necessary. PROCEDURES Note: CCA personnel will be marked with orange tape for quick and easy identification. 1. Liquid Hazard Area (LHA) a. Weapons Clearing Qrea: Upon arrival to CCA, all weapons will be cleared. b. Assembly Area: Personnel arriving at the CCA will gather in this area during peak processing times. Canteens of water should be available for personnel with empty canteens that need a drint. If a dirty armory, all weapons will be dropped off prior to entering CCA. c. CCA Entrance: All personnel will be briefed, buddied up and directed to Station 1, Equipment Drop-Off. d. (Station 1) Equipment Drop-Off/M-9 Removal (1) Field gear (helmet, webb belt, mask carrier, canteen) will be removed and placed in associated container. CCA personnel will decon canteens for reissue and use in the assembly area as needed. (2) Weapons will be given to CCA personnel for decon. (If no dirty armory is available.) (3) All processees will remove M9 paper, using buddy system. and dispose of it in the waste container provided. e. (Station 2) Bootie Decon and Removal (1) Decon of booties will be accomplished using absorbent material for liquid agents and bleach solution for dusty agents. (2) Bootie Removal (a) Read, sign, and follow directions. (b) Remove booties by untying or cutting laces. (c) Place booties in waste container. (d) Wben containers are full, LHA assistant will 1
