Plan at this point appears to keep a work crew at the battery site and having the living compound at separate location. Even with this arrangement between facility of some description will be required at the battery site. [(b)(5)1 Review of threat led to reducing the BRC manning to a skeleton force. BRC effective 2400, 4 Feb to be manned [(b)(5)] operational. 4 Feb 91 First day of reduced manning for BRC went fine. Schedule seems to be workable for everyone. [(b)(5)] during lunch. He continues to contend he knows nothing of their arrival. [(b)(5)] Key quarters in location of billeting area. 5 Feb 9l [(b)(5)] right now going full force. The RAF has pitched in to put in a septic tank. This, along with USAF supplying a water bladder, will allow cantonment area to be put up in the battery area. Other ~ sights being explored [(b)(5)] Both these areas had water/sewage but were not close to battery. Saudis provided small white tent (40) to house people. Hopefully, this will be. interim solution until GP medium tents are available. These small tents do not lend themselves to, be air conditioned, heated, or lighted. Issue of TV reception via USMTM satellite feed come up today at lunch with [0(5)] discussed with Lt Col Peters and he will pursue. Met with CENTCOM/VET today concerning his visit. We have Lt Col Robinson, SGV here now to help with food inspections and care of dogs. Outlined was all areas. He'll be making visit to our location periodically. Continuing to work T-shirt issue. Key to success is to keep cost in the $10.00 range. 6 FEB 91 Best mail day we had in several weeks today. Work continues on bedding down the patriot team. Toward the end the Navy has made 3 ea of portable trailer they are receiving available to the Army. One bldg is provided with 12 beds and the other 2 are open bay. Navy also has several other bldgs to include a latrine module with 7 or 8 sinks, 6 showers and several Toilets. UNCLASSIFIED
