BRIEFING FOR BRIGADIER GENERAL ROBERT BUETHE
			GENERAL INFORMATION
The 4th Tactical Hospital deployed is staffed by members of the
4th Medical Group from the 4th Tactical Fighter Wing, Seymour
Johnson AFB, North Carolina. A four person ADVON team arrived on
11 August 1990, approximately a week prior to the arrival of the
main medical contingent. The supplies and equipment for the ATH
were propositioned inside the warehouse where the hospital is
currently located. The ADVON team was instrumental in locating
ATH assets, planning the initial facility layout, and positioning
equipment and supplies at their point of intended use within the
warehouse. The main contingent arrived on 17 August 1990 and
worked round the clock to have an initial operating capability on
19 August 1990. The ATH reached full medical capability on 21
August 1990 and admitted its first patient. The ATH is normally
