File: aacte_01.txtCENTAF/SG DAILY UPDATE [(b)(7)] -- I will keep you informed as the situation develops. That's all I know at this moment. - RESTORATIONS OF KUWAIT US personnel entering Kuwait or Southern Iraq in the future (or now, for that matter) face horrid sanitation and health hazards. -- Environmental Health Officers (EHO) and Bioenvironmental Engineers (BEE) at each of our ATHs and ATCs are preparing guidelines for those who must enter (voluntarily or involuntarily) the KTO. -- Basically, no food or water from local sources must be consumed. As small "survival pack" of non-perisbable foodstuffs and bottled water should be taken with air crew as they continue their flights over the KT0. As forces enter the KT0, their food and water supplies must go with them, Insect repellent and soap will also be essential items. My EHO and BEE will prepare a short brief for the HQ staff. More anthrax vaccine has arrived. 56th will administer. COL RANDOLPH/USCENTAF/SG/31 JAN 91
