(U) TITLE: Lack ot Chemical Warfare (CW) Ground Ensembles 5. (u) OBSERVATION: Not enough CW ground ensembles for aircrews. 6. (U) DISCUSSION: CENTAF taskings required aircrews to deploy witb both ground and aircrew CW ensenbles. AFR 355-1 requires both types of ensembles. SAC aircrews deployed with aircrew ensembles only citing SACR 67-6. When the aircrews arrived in theater they were told theywere required to have ground ensembles. 7. (U] LESSON LEARNED: Implied. 8. (u) RECOMMENDED ACTION: A command supplement to an Air Force regulation can be more restrictive but not less restrictive. Change SACR 67-6 to meet tbe intent of AFR 355-1. 9. (U) COMMENTS: The crew take what they are directed to take. Th1s is not a DON item. a. Will reguire additional funding for additional ground ensembles. b.
