ITEM NO. 7 IMA UTILIZATION

BACKGROUND: IMAs were given wartime assignments without regard to peacetime
training attachments.

DISCUSSIONS: IMAs should work at the facility where they train.

RECOMMENDATION: Certain groups of skilled specialists should be controlled by
AF/SG to ensure proper utilization.

ACTION REQUIRED: Revise WMP-1 policy for mobilization of IMAs.

ACTIONS COMPLETED: Newest version of WMP-1 directs that IMAs will "normally
be mobilized where they train."

 STATUS: Recommend closure.
