    Support of United Nations Special Commission Inspection Team 13.
    Arrived in Baghdad, Iraq on 6 Set 91 to conduct inspections of Iraq's
    ballastic missile program. Inspections started 7 Sep 91 at Al Dujail where 
    large number of IRFNA tanks had been dumped. We noted 2 leakers and departs
    the area. The same day we went to Tikrit/Al Sahra Air Force Base where we s


    no evidence of ballistic missile activity. 8 Sep 91 we inspected Khan Al
    Mahawil Military Barracks, where we discovered 4 SCUD missile transporters
    that had been welded back togther after they had been cut in half at another
    military base called Tarji The team cheif instructed the Iraqs that the
    transporters had to be redestroyed and we would be back on 9 Sep 91 to
    reinspect them. We also located a piece of SCUD handling equipment that
    needed to be destroyed. We departed for the day. 9 Sep 91 we went back to
    the military barracks and inspected the transports and the handling equipment
    to insure destruction. 10 Sep 91 to 13 Sep 91 we were not able to start any
    more inspections due to the fact that the Iraq's refused us permission to us
    UN helicopoters. We departed Iraq 13 Sep 91.
